Chelsey Pon

Chelsey Pon has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Chelsey currently holds the position of Sr. UI/UX Designer at Visual Lease, where they started in April 2023. Prior to this, Chelsey worked at MessageBird, starting in February 2020. During their time at MessageBird, they held various roles including Senior Product Designer, Lead product designer for the MessageBird email product team, and UX Designer. Chelsey was responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to create customer-focused solutions and contributed to the redesign of the SparkPost application, resulting in significant growth in active users and revenue. Before joining MessageBird, Chelsey worked as a Product Designer at BD from November 2019 to February 2020. From 2015 to 2019, Chelsey worked at Clinvue, a medical research and design consultancy, where they held roles such as Product Designer and Industrial Design Consultant. Their responsibilities at Clinvue included leading research, concept development, and prototyping work for healthcare industry leaders, as well as collaborating with clients to launch new products. Prior to their professional career, Chelsey served as the Student Chapter President of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) at Virginia Tech from June 2014 to May 2015. Chelsey oversaw and organized events, activities, and professional opportunities for IDSA members. Chelsey also gained industry experience as an Industrial Design Intern at Clinvue in the summer of 2014.

Chelsey Pon earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from Virginia Tech, having studied there from 2009 to 2015.
