Florian Dalla Torre

Florian Dalla Torre has a strong and diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Florian is currently the Founder & Executive Member of Innofuse Switzerland, a start-up company focused on enhancing knowledge sharing and innovation in Europe. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Research and Development at VITA Zahnfabrik H. Rauter GmbH & Co. KG. Florian also held the position of Director - Head Development, Straumann Dental Implant Systems at Institut Straumann AG. Florian has extensive experience working with Straumann, where they served as the Head Development of Straumann Dental Implant Systems and Senior Product Development Manager. Florian's early career includes roles as a Lecturer and Senior Scientist at ETH Zurich, Head of Research and Development at Swissmetal, and Executive Member at SVMT. Florian also worked as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Monash University and a Research Associate at Victorian Center for Advanced Materials Manufacturing VCAMM. Florian began their professional journey as a PhD Research Assistant at Paul Scherrer Institut in Villigen, Switzerland.

Florian Dalla Torre obtained their Matura degree in General and Economics from Academia Engiadina in 1993. Florian then pursued a Bachelor Degree in Geophysics & Geology at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 1995 to 1996. Florian continued their education at the University of Basel, where they completed their Master's degree in Earth Science from 1993 to 1998. Florian furthered their studies and earned a PhD in Physics from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in 2003.
