Luís Barbosa

Luís Barbosa is a Microfluidics Engineer at Vital Bio, with experience focusing on the development of disc-based centrifugal microfluidic devices for the Point of Care market during a previous role as an R&D Engineer at biosurfit. Prior to that, Luís worked as a Junior Projects Technician at Frulact, where skills in continuous improvement and lean management were developed. Involvement with the Board of European Students of Technology as Secretary of BEST Aveiro provided experience in communication and management within academic and corporate contexts. Luís holds a Master's degree in Biochemistry from Universidade de Aveiro and has completed a Master's thesis on the development of paper-based microfluidic devices at Instituto Superior Técnico, along with a Bachelor's degree in Bioquímica from Universidade de Aveiro and a Bachelor's thesis focused on ionic liquids from the PATh research group.
