Aminul Islam

Aminul Islam Sujon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public health, journalism, and advocacy. Currently serving as a Technical Adviser (Consultant) for Road Safety and Tobacco Control at Vital Strategies since April 2023, Aminul has a strong background in journalism as a freelance journalist since 1998, holding various editorial positions. Previous roles include Program Officer at the National Tobacco Control Cell, where responsibilities involved policy drafting and capacity-building initiatives, and a managerial role at Work for a Better Bangladesh, focusing on advocacy and communications. Aminul has also contributed to international health initiatives through an exchange fellowship in Nepal. Aminul holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Bachelor of Laws from National University, a Master's in Governance Studies, and a Master's in English Language and Literature, alongside a certificate in Global Tobacco Control from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
