Medical Laboratory Scientist II - Transfusion Services at Vitalant

Frederick Barrido has extensive work experience in the medical field. Frederick started their career in 2008 as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC), where they worked until December 2021. During their time at UMC, Frederick also served as an Epic Analyst - Core Clinical Beaker, a role they currently hold.

In 2009, Frederick joined Vitalant as a Medical Laboratory Scientist II - Transfusion Services, where they are currently employed. Prior to their time at UMC and Vitalant, Frederick worked as a Medical Technologist at St. Rose Dominican Hospital - De Lima Campus from November 2008 to May 2010.

Throughout their career, Frederick has gained valuable experience and expertise in various areas of the medical laboratory, including core clinical beaker analysis, transfusion services, and general medical technology.

Frederick Barrido completed their education at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist. Frederick attended the university from 2000 to 2007. In addition, they obtained the MLS(ASCP)CM certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in March 2008. Frederick also completed the Beaker Clinical Pathology Certification from Epic in April 2019 and the Beaker Curriculum from Epic in April 2021.
