Heather Bingham has over 19 years of experience in the blood services industry. Heather started their career at United Blood Services in 2001 as a Laboratory Technician II / Trainer, where they performed mid-complexity testing and prepared blood samples for shipment and testing. In 2007, they were promoted to Assistant Laboratory Supervisor, where they assisted with the supervision of Lab Technicians and was responsible for daily laboratory functions. In 2012, they joined Blood Systems as a Quality Specialist, where they assisted the Regional Quality Director with the review of quality systems and compliance. In 2014, they transitioned to Vitalant as a Quality Manager, overseeing quality systems and compliance for five blood centers in the New Mexico region. Heather provided solutions to operational issues and utilized Six Sigma, Lean, and other improvement tools to ensure process improvement.
Heather Bingham obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife and Wildlands Science and Management from New Mexico State University. In addition, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from Blood Systems in April 2013.
