Karen Gan

Karen Gan has over 15 years of work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. Karen currently works as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at Vitalant, where they perform high complexity testing. Prior to this, Karen worked at Nyack Hospital for 7 years as an I.V. Additive Technician, advocating for patient safety and managing pharmacy inventory. Karen also has experience as a Medical Technologist Intern at Empire City Laboratories and Hackensack University Medical Center. Karen began their career as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS and also worked briefly as a Consumer Educator/Brand Ambassador at Hart Agency.

Karen Gan graduated from Clarkstown High School North in 2007. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from the City University of New York-College of Staten Island, completing their studies in 2017. In August 2014, Karen also obtained a certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
