Shawn Baune

Shawn Baune has extensive experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) roles. Currently, they are the Director FP&A at Vitalant since January 2020. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Phoenix for a decade, starting in 2010. During their time at the University of Phoenix, they held various positions, including Finance Director - Corporate FP&A, Senior Manager FP&A – Business Operations, Manager FP&A – Business Operations, and Senior Financial Analyst – Business Operations. In these roles, Shawn was responsible for managing and directing FP&A teams, preparing financial statements and forecasts, and providing financial guidance to senior executives. Shawn also implemented cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies. Before joining the University of Phoenix, Shawn worked as a Profit Analyst at Insight from 2008 to 2010, where they tracked and reported profit margins and implemented changes to increase profitability. Shawn also worked briefly at Target as a Logistics Overnight Flow employee in 2008. Prior to that, Shawn served as a Treasury Analyst at Kelson Physician Partners from 2006 to 2007, where they managed cash flows and conducted financial analysis. Overall, Shawn Baune has a strong background in FP&A, financial analysis, and implementing cost-saving measures.

Shawn Baune completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance at Carroll College from 2002 to 2004. Later, from 2005 to 2007, they pursued and obtained a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business, specializing in the field of study of Master of Science in Finance.
