Shawn Shields

Shawn Shields has extensive work experience in the blood donation industry. Shawn started their career at LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in 2002 as a District Director, serving in this role until 2005. From 2005 to 2015, they worked as a Collection Area Director at OneBlood. In 2015, they joined Vitalant as a Senior Director of Donor Recruitment, and they have held this position since then, with the exception of a period from May 2015 to February 2020, where they briefly left the company before returning to the same role.

Shawn Shields holds an A.A degree from Pasco Hernando Community College, which they attained from 1990 to 1999. Shawn later pursued a B.A degree with specializations in Business Administration, Management, and Management Information Systems at Saint Leo University from 2000 to 2003. Finally, Shawn completed their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources and Marketing from Saint Leo University from 2013 to 2016.
