Kristen G. Schaefer

Kristen G. Schaefer, MD, HMDC, FAAHPM, serves as Vice President, Associate Chief Medical Officer, and Director of Fellowship Education at Care Dimensions since July 2020. With extensive experience in the field, Kristen has held various roles at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since 2008, including Affiliate Medical Staff and Director positions in supportive cardiology and palliative care. As an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Kristen also directs the Aging and End of Life Curricular Theme and has been involved in medical student education. Additionally, Kristen has been a faculty member at VitalTalk since 2016 and contributed to the Harvard Medical School Center for Palliative Care until June 2020. Kristen's educational background includes an MD from Harvard Medical School and a Bachelor's degree from Princeton University, complemented by extensive training in internal medicine and palliative care.
