Associate Director Of Business Development at Vitamin Angels

Brittany McMeekin has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Brittany started their career in 2006 as a Research Assistant for the Extended Learning Program in Belize, where they conducted field research on the impact of environmental factors on the country's culture. Brittany also analyzed the effectiveness of environmental management strategies.

Following that, Brittany worked as a Mentor at Isla Vista Elementary School, providing one-on-one assistance to a third-grade student with learning disabilities. Their responsibilities included academic tutoring, building social skills, and accommodating the student's unique learning needs.

In 2007, Brittany joined the University of California Santa Barbara as a Research Assistant. Brittany worked with Dr. Patricia Taber on their research project focused on women entrepreneurs in Calcutta, India. Their tasks included transcribing completed interviews from Dr. Taber's previous trip.

In 2009, Brittany joined Vitamin Angels, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to health and nutrition for at-risk pregnant women, infants, and children. Brittany started as a Development Coordinator, responsible for supporting the divisional needs of the team. Their tasks included managing schedules, trade show attendances, travel logistics, promotional materials, individual donation campaigns, and Corporate Partnership recognition items.

Brittany progressed within Vitamin Angels and became an Account Manager in 2011, where they managed client accounts and relationships. Brittany advanced to the position of Senior Account Manager - Corporate Relationships in 2015, focusing on developing and nurturing corporate partnerships.

Currently, Brittany is serving as the Associate Director of Business Development at Vitamin Angels. In this role, they are responsible for establishing key objectives and strategies for the Development Division, guiding a team, and ensuring the organization's continued growth and mission realization. Brittany aims to provide health and nutrition support to every mother and child worldwide.

Brittany McMeekin completed their undergraduate education from 2003 to 2007 at UC Santa Barbara, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Cultural Anthropology and Applied Psychology. In addition to their formal education, Brittany has obtained several certifications in areas such as Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues, Confronting Bias, Diversity Inclusion and Belonging, Leading Your Org on a Journey of Allyship, and Unconscious Bias. These certifications were obtained in October 2021 from LinkedIn.
