Raed Safadi has extensive experience in the finance and accounting field. Raed began their career in 2007 as a Junior Accountant at Middle East Micro Credit Company (MEMCC), where they posted journal entries, updated accounts receivable and payable, and performed reconciliations. Raed then advanced to the role of Senior Accountant, verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable, as well as analyzing and summarizing financial information.

In 2012, Raed joined Vitas Jordan - Financing a Better World as the Chief Accountant. In this role, they maintained the general ledger and sub ledger, controlled daily recorded transactions, and prepared financial reports in compliance with international accounting standards. Raed also played a key role in preparing the sustainability report.

Raed later transitioned to the position of Head of Risk Management at Vitas Jordan. Raed monitored key risk indicators, facilitated annual risk mapping, and developed methodologies for risk identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, and control. Raed effectively communicated with management and the Board of Directors regarding risk analysis and mitigation strategies.

With their strong background in finance, accounting, and risk management, Raed Safadi has a solid foundation for contributing to future organizations in similar roles.

Raed Safadi holds a Master's degree in Financial Economics, which they obtained from The Hashemite University from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2006, they completed their undergraduate studies at The Hashemite University, where they achieved a "very good" degree in Financial Economics.

In addition to their formal education, Raed Safadi has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they completed the IFRS 16 certification at BDO. Raed also obtained the Certified Expert in Risk Management certification from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in 2018. In 2017, they earned the Risk Management Excellence in Microfinance certification from the House of Training. Furthermore, in 2011, Raed Safadi completed the Training of Trainer (ToT) program at the Middle East Micro Credit Company.

Vitas Jordan - Financing a Better World

Vitas Jordan originated as a continuation of the 1999 cooperative agreement signed between Global Communities (formerly CHF international) and USAID to establish the southern Jordan access to credit project (SJACP). The purpose of the project was to provide microfinance lending services to the residents of the southern Governorates of Jordan over a period of five years, as well as building an interactive capacity with the formal financial institution through risk-sharing partnerships with commercial banks. Vitas Jordan founding purpose is to make a difference in our communities by bringing financial opportunities to those who are not well served by traditional banks or lenders. Vitas Jordan has the privilege of serving over 21,000 clients across Jordan. As we move forward, we renew our commitment to fulfill these client’s needs.
