Laurel A. Torres

Laurel A. Torres has extensive experience in volunteer management and administrative support across various organizations. Currently serving as the Manager of Volunteer Services for VITAS Healthcare of Broward County since February 2020, Laurel oversees day-to-day operations and implements strategic systems for volunteer management. Prior roles include providing high-level administrative support to the CEO at Diagnostic Centers of America and serving as a Merchandising Assistant at Office Depot, where critical thinking and analytic skills were utilized. Laurel's background also features a long tenure at New York Presbyterian Hospital, managing volunteer services and community outreach, as well as experience as a Volunteer Wish Grantor for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Additionally, Laurel is the owner and founder of Laurels Cake Cottage and holds a B.S. in Communications and English from SUNY Brockport.
