Taras Kolbukh has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and technical leadership. Taras started their career at EPAM Systems in 2012, where they completed a Java Training Course.
In 2013, they joined ELEKS and worked as a Software Engineer. Taras developed various web services, including a RESTful web service for a bank to process payment invoices, a web service to track driver and vehicle activity, and a medical information system for hospitals. Taras was responsible for developing new functionality, conducting refactoring and code review, implementing tests, and improving SQL queries. Taras utilized tools and technologies such as Java, Servlet API, JSP, PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, iText, Apache Tomcat, Ant, and SVN.
In 2016, Taras joined VITech as a Senior Software Engineer. Taras then progressed to the role of Technical Team Lead. At VITech, they designed the architecture of healthcare service applications for conducting clinical research and trials and a marketplace for the same purpose. Taras led the implementation of new features, improved technical documentation, reduced technical debt, enhanced application monitoring and security measures, and initiated knowledge sharing meetings within the team.
Throughout their work experience, Taras demonstrated expertise in software architecture design, development, testing, documentation, and team leadership. Taras has a strong background in the healthcare industry and has worked on diverse projects related to clinical research and trials.
Taras Kolbukh attended Lviv Polytechnic National University from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Taras has pursued various certifications throughout their career. Taras obtained the "Certified SAFe® 4 Scrum Master" certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in December 2018, and the "Certified SAFe® 4 Practitioner" certification from the same institution in April 2018. Taras also received the "M101J: MongoDB for Java Developers" certification from MongoDB, Inc. in February 2016, and the "M102: MongoDB for DBAs" certification, also from MongoDB, Inc., in the same month and year.
