David W. Halsell

David W. Halsell has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. David W.'smost recent position was as a Web Content Specialist at Seattle Public Utilities since May 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at VitFit llc, starting in December 2020.

David has also worked as a Visual Design, WordPress Consulting, and Content Marketing professional at ddubdigital.com, a Seattle-based creative digital agency, since January 2012. As a Co-Founder and Producer for REALMOREREAL, they promoted the social utility of the arts and facilitated arts and cultural events from May 2018 onwards.

In previous roles, David was the Marketing Director at ZūM Fitness from July 2017 to December 2020. David W. established and oversaw the company's digital marketing program, improving brand awareness and sales conversions. David W. also worked as the Webmaster and Associate Curator for Modern Enterprises L.L.C from September 2017 to November 2018, where they designed and maintained a festival website and curated light art installations.

David's earlier experience includes being the Creative Director and co-founder of Big Freak Media LLC, a publicity and promotional firm, from October 2011 to June 2017. David W. also co-founded Carnage & Rouge, an ad hoc film production company, and served as a Video Editor, Director, and Producer from June 2009 to June 2011. Additionally, they worked as a Research Associate, teaching undergraduate courses and developing curriculum at the Center for Digital Art and Experimental Media (DXARTS), University of Washington, until September 2009.

David W. Halsell's education history includes an MFA degree in Art from Carnegie Mellon University, which they obtained from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a BFA degree in Sculpture from the University of Washington between 2001 and 2004. Additionally, they also earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from the University of Washington during the same time period.
