Wayne Yeatman

Wayne Yeatman has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Wayne started their career as an Assistant Technician and Trainee Hardware Engineer at Compent (Pvt) Ltd in 1988, where they gained experience in installing and configuring hardware and software. Wayne then worked as a Computer Operator at C.F. Tulley Associates - Corporate Data Services from 1989 to 1991, where they were responsible for the day-to-day running of Data General mainframe equipment and providing customer support.

From 1991 to 1992, Wayne worked as a Contract Computer Expert at Balfour Beatty Railway Engineering, where their responsibilities included setting up computer systems and providing staff training. Wayne also served as a Computer Bureau Supervisor at Speciss Computers from 1991 to 1992, overseeing data capture procedures and bureau operations.

In 1992, Wayne joined C.F. Tulley Associates as a Systems Engineer and Customer Support Specialist, where they provided troubleshooting services for MS-Dos operating systems and software applications. Wayne also assisted the hardware engineering division in determining hardware and software failures.

From 1996 to 1999, Wayne worked as an IT Manager and Support Specialist at Engen Marketing Zimbabwe Limited, where they were responsible for IT management, helpdesk functions, disaster prevention and recovery systems, and IT systems documentation. Wayne then held a similar role at Civil & Planning Partnership from 1999 to 2000.

Wayne served as an IT Manager and Support Specialist at IMC plc – Ascot, England (Bulk Retail) + UMAX UK, Just Projectors, Robson Telecom, BIT from 2000 to 2001, where they managed IT and helpdesk functions, implemented internal procedures, and managed online shops and help sites.

Currently, Wayne works at Vitria Technology as a Senior Systems Engineer in the internal IT department. Wayne is responsible for IT and related functions for all locations, including ensuring the availability of core IT systems, supporting office staff and systems, and performing Exchange and Active Directory administration. Wayne also handles systems maintenance, infrastructure development, disaster prevention and recovery, and infrastructure and systems documentation. Wayne has extensive experience in managing large LAN and WAN networks, workstations, and training classroom lab and demo systems.

Wayne Yeatman attended Speciss College from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained their G.C.E. 'O' Level degree. Their field of study during this time was Business/Managerial Economics.
