Arturo Mendez has over 25 years of experience in strategic planning, portfolio development, financing, treasury, risk management, and business development. Arturo is currently serving as the SVP Strategic Planning at Vitro since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Proeza Corporativo for 13 years, where they held the role of Strategy and Portfolio Development Director from March 2018 to March 2021 and the role of Director of Financing, Treasury & Risk Management at Grupo Proeza from January 2008 to March 2018. Before joining Proeza Corporativo, they worked at CEMEX for 8 years in various roles, including Corporate Business Development Advisor for different regions and Corporate Strategic Planning Analyst. Arturo began their career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Violy, Byorum and Partners, where they gained experience in strategic analysis and finance.

Arturo Mendez has a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Tecnológico de Monterrey, which they obtained from 1992 to 1996. Arturo pursued further education at Kellogg Executive Education in 1999, where they completed a program in "Value through Strategic Acquisitions & Alliances". In 2002, they attended EGADE Business School and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which they completed in 2005. In 2010 and 2011, they participated in the Development of Global Leaders Program at INSEAD. In 2017, they enrolled in the Emerging CFO Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, focusing on strategy, finance, and leadership. Lastly, in 2019, they completed a program on "Strategy: Building and Sustaining Competitive Advantage" at Harvard Business School.
