Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, contributing to the development of hardware for innovative DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Previously, Chris served as a firmware engineer, where responsibilities included developing firmware and diagnostic tools for similar products. Prior experience includes electronics contracting for the Science Alberta Foundation, focusing on educational device design and repair, as well as a teaching assistant role at the University of Calgary. Earlier work at Grindcom involved electronic engineering tasks such as circuit design and software development for forestry control systems. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
