Tracy Gapin

Dr. Tracy Gapin is a physician, entrepreneur, and speaker. He graduated from Texas A&M University Magna Cum Laude in 1994 and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in 1998. He completed his general surgery internship in 1999 and his urology residency in 2004 at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida at Shands Hospital. Dr. Gapin joined Florida Urology Specialists in Sarasota, Florida in 2004. Dr. Gapin is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association and Florida Urologic Society.

Dr. Gapin is one of only a handful of urologists specialized in performing 3-D MRI/US fusion biopsies to detect prostate cancer as well as treating prostate cancer patients with High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and focal therapy. In 2013, he was the first urologist in Sarasota to perform 3-D MRI/US targeted fusion biopsy for advanced prostate cancer detection, which has since become the standard of care.

In 2013, he was also the first board-certified urologist from Sarasota, Florida to perform High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for minimally invasive treatment of men with prostate cancer. Dr. Gapin founded Sarasota Prostate Care in 2014 to focus on MRI/US targeted fusion biopsy and HIFU.
