Sonya Parker-Smith

Sonya Parker-Smith has over two decades of experience in the healthcare and insurance industries. Currently serving as a Medicare Member Services Supervisor at VIVA HEALTH since July 2012, Sonya has held several roles including Medicare/Commercial Trainer Retention Coordinator and Medicare Member Service Teamlead, where responsibilities include assisting with supervisor calls and supporting Medicare representatives. Prior to VIVA HEALTH, Sonya worked as a Quality Assurance Auditor and Assistant Office Manager at American Home Patient, focusing on medical insurance verification and setting up durable medical equipment. Additionally, Sonya served as an Individual Billing Specialist at Assurant Employee Benefits, now known as Sun Life Financial. Sonya holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education/Speech Pathology from Alabama A&M University, earned between 1995 and 1999.
