Toni Vilaplana Vivancos has a diverse range of work experience in the legal, financial, and strategic fields. From 2017 to present, Toni has been the Managing Partner at Vilaplana & Garcia - Abogados y Consultores, where they provide comprehensive consultancy services in areas such as financial and strategic planning, corporate compliance, and corporate restructuring. In 2022, Toni joined Viva In Vitro Diagnostics as the Control & Legal Manager, overseeing the company's operations and legal matters. Toni also serves as the Secretary General at Abiomur, Asociación de Bioempresas de la Región de Murcia starting from 2023. Prior to these roles, Toni worked as a Legal, Financial, and Strategic Planning Advisor at Torrevisa, S.A. Toni has also served on the Board of Directors at Vincle Capital and as a Member of the Investment Committee at Wannaseed. Toni's previous experiences include being the Socio Director Financial Advisory & Legal at GALSAN Consultores, Legal & Control Advisor External at Grupo Agrotecnología, Business Partner & Director de Proyectos at Borealis Corporate Finance & Ventures, and Abogado - Socio at ALIA Legal Consultor.
Toni Vilaplana Vivancos has a diverse education history. In 1983, they started studying Derecho (Law) at Universitat de Barcelona and completed their degree in 1988. In 1997, they attended IESE Business School and completed the PDD-Programa Desarrollo Directivo, which focused on Business Administration and Management. In 2005, they pursued a program in Dirección empresas inmobiliarias (Real Estate Company Management) at IESE Business School.
Throughout the years, Toni Vilaplana Vivancos continued to enhance their knowledge and skills. In 2016, they completed the Programa Gesti\u00f3n de Inversiones (Investment Management) at IESE Business School. Toni also undertook the Programa Private Equity: Inversión Alternativa (Private Equity: Alternative Investment) at the same institution from 2016 to 2017.
In 2018, Toni Vilaplana Vivancos enrolled in the Manager Business School and obtained a specialization in Finanzas (Finance) as a Controller and Monitoring. The following year, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in empresas digitales (Digital Companies) at IEBS.
In 2019, Toni Vilaplana Vivancos completed the Programa Business Angels (Business Angels Program) at IESE Business School. Toni also obtained a certification in Curso de inversión en satartups (Investment in Startups Course) from Startupxplore Akademia. In the same year, they were certified as an Abogado en Ejercicio (Practicing Lawyer) by the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Madrid (Madrid Bar Association).
In 2020, Toni Vilaplana Vivancos further expanded their expertise by completing the Programa de certificación en Business IT y Transformación Digital (Business IT and Digital Transformation Certification) at IEBS. Additionally, in 2022, they participated in the Seminario Valuación de Empresas (Valuation of Companies) at IESE Business School and the Seminario de Fusiones y Adquisiciones (Mergers and Acquisitions Seminar) at ENAE Business School.

Viva’s drive is saving lives by reducing in-hospital mortality from sepsis, which is the leading cause of in-hospital deaths in the world. Our mission is to develop advanced and easy-to-use devices to solve the current problem of stratification of patients in sepsis, and in other inflammatory processes; as well as contributing to the development of novel therapies using cutting-edge scientific knowledge in the area of inflammasomes.
