Mariela Briceno

Mariela Briceno has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Mariela is the Executive Director and Founder of Venprendedoras, a global network aimed at empowering Venezuelan women entrepreneurs. Prior to this, they worked as the Managing Director and Founder of Viva+, a company offering communication strategies and marketing services. Mariela also co-founded Conteni2Digitales, a digital content provider, and served as the Corporate Communication Director for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Venezuela. Additionally, Mariela has experience as the Press Attache for the Venezuela Embassy in London and worked as a Diplomatic Editor for El Nacional.

Mariela Briceno obtained a Diploma in International Relations and Affairs from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1994 to 1995. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Mass Communications degree with a specialization in Comunicación Social from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, graduating between 1985 and 1990. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a certificate in Introduction to Human-Centered Design from Acumen in June 2020.
