Gaël STEPHANT

Senior CMC Project Leader at Vivet Therapeutics

Gaël STEPHANT has a wealth of experience in bioprocess improvement, gene therapy, and cell biology. Gaël began their career in 2005 as a student afterwork at Arts et Métiers ParisTech, where they earned a Master of Science/Biology Engineering. In 2008, they joined XenTech Paris France as a Drug Screening Platform Manager and Project Leader. From 2012 to 2014, they were the Platform Bioproduction Manager at THERAVECTYS, where they were responsible for managing 5 technicians and setting up USP and DSP processes. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Project Leader in Virology at Anses (Agence Nationale de Sécurité Sanitaire). Gaël then joined Genethon in 2015 as a CMC Project Leader and R&D Bioprocess Project Manager. In 2016, they moved to GenSight Biologics SA as a CMC Project Leader and was responsible for managing and supervising CMC activities. In 2019, they joined Servier as a CMC Project Leader. In 2021, they began working at Vivet Therapeutics as a Senior CMC Project Leader, where they were dedicated to developing innovative gene therapy treatments for orphan diseases. Finally, in 2022, they became a Scientific Advisor at Kolibri, where they support their development to become a new pillar of the bioproduction area.

Gaël STEPHANT has an education history that spans from 1994 to 2008. Gaël received a High School Technical Diploma in Biology from a school in the Paris area from 1994 to 1997. Gaël then received a BSc degree in Biochemistry from ENCPB, Paris from 1997 to 1999. Gaël STEPHANT went on to receive an MSc degree in Biology with a focus on bioengineering from Arts et Métiers ParisTech (ENSAM) from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, they have a 1 degree in animal experimentation from Paris.
