Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a robust background in the development of collaborative educational technologies. Since July 2010, Chris has been with SMART Technologies, initially as a firmware engineer and currently as an electrical engineer, focusing on hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and other educational devices. Prior to this role, Chris worked as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing educational devices, and served as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Previous experience includes working as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, where Chris developed control systems for forestry equipment. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
