Daniel Tortosa Illana

Daniel Tortosa Illana serves as the Director of Internal Audit at Vivo (Telefônica Brasil) since October 2022, where responsibilities include leading the audit and reporting to the Brasil Audit Committee on Finance, Processes, IT, and Cyber audit engagements. Previously, from March 2017 to October 2022, Daniel held the position of Senior Manager Internal Audit at Telefonica, focusing on ICFR-SOX audits and Data Analytics engagements. Prior to that, from September 2005 to March 2017, Daniel was an Audit Senior Manager at EY in the UK, overseeing audit engagements and internal controls reviews, after which roles included Audit Manager and Assistant Audit Manager with significant contributions to large SEC audits and SOX certifications. Daniel began the career as an Audit Junior at KPMG in 2004. Educational qualifications include ongoing studies with ICAEW, certification from the Institute of Certified Chartered Accountants of Spain (ROAC), and degrees in Management and Business Administration, as well as Finance Accounting and Auditing from the University of Valencia.
