Phil is a highly experienced Automotive Engineer with an award-winning, worldwide reputation for vehicle electrification. He brings knowledge and experience in vehicle engineering at all levels from concept to full production. Phil started his career in Chassis and Vehicle Integration at IAD and developed an attention to detail and engineering knowledge at Daewoo, TWR, Land Rover, Lotus, Ricardo, and with motorsports firm RML. Phil has held management and chief engineer positions in transport decarbonisation and vehicle electrification technologies across market sectors, from 2 Wheels to Commercial and Off-Highway Vehicles, Stationary Energy Storage, and Fuel Cell applications.

In addition, Phil is a renowned international speaker, and has also successfully delivered training courses to a worldwide audience of clients and academia. He has been a guest lecturer at the Universities of Loughborough, Newcastle, Brunel and Coventry.

Phil gained his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Coventry University and, as well as being a Chartered Engineer, he has been a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineering since 2014.

Although leisure time is limited, Phil likes to spend his spare time with his family, and relaxing watching TV and cooking.
