Friedrich Preusser is a Principal Image Data Scientist at Vizgen since April 2024, focusing on the evaluation and development of spatial biology analysis tools and workflows for data generation from Ultivue mIF assays using Python and R. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Image Data Scientist at Ultivue and a Research Associate at the Max Delbrück Center, where Friedrich developed algorithms and software tools for large-scale microscopy and conducted exploratory data analysis. Contributions to the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center involved designing interactive dashboards for gene expression analysis and establishing automated microscopy workflows. Additionally, experience as a Student Research Assistant at the Centre for Genomic Regulation contributed to developing a high-throughput RNA-protein interaction screen. Friedrich holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and advanced degrees in Molecular Biology from Heidelberg University and Universität des Saarlandes, as well as a Licence de Biologie from the University of Strasbourg.
