Shari Afuso

Shari Afuso has a diverse work experience in the field of web and graphic design. Shari started their career as a Photography Intern at the University of San Diego in 2014. Shari then went on to work as a Printing Press Intern at Brighton Press, followed by a Photography Internship at Joseph Bellows Gallery in 2015. Later that year, they worked as a Graphic & Web Design Intern at Media Ocean, Inc. and as a Contractor for ADZEDIA, where they served as a Graphic & Web Designer.

In 2016, Shari worked as a Freelance Web Designer before joining VIZIO as a Web Design Intern in July. Shari quickly progressed to become a Web Designer and then a Senior Web Designer at the company. In these roles, Shari was responsible for designing web banners, customizing landing pages for retailers, creating social media posts, email newsletters, and syndicated rich content. Shari also gained experience in front-end web development and utilized tools like Magento, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Figma, Excel macros, and pivot tables.

At VIZIO, Shari then took on the role of a Web Design Manager. In this position, they managed and collaborated with cross-functional teams for various web initiatives, including ADA compliance, brand refreshes, and product launches. Shari also provided support for web design and front-end web development for marketing campaigns, increasing efficiency by using Figma.

Throughout their career, Shari has demonstrated their skills in web design, front-end development, graphic design, and photography. Their experience spans from internships to freelancing and managing teams in a corporate setting.

Shari Afuso completed their Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts with a minor in Computer Science at the University of San Diego from 2011 to 2015. Shari also obtained several certifications from Lynda.com, including "Creating an HTML5 Banner Ad with GreenSock (GSAP)" and "Google Analytics Essential Training" in February 2017, "Design the Web: Smart Objects" in December 2016, "Online Marketing Fundamentals" in September 2016, and "Email Marketing Basics" in September 2015. It is unknown when they obtained the certification for "Danny Sullivan on SEO" from Lynda.com.
