Marcus Obeng

Marcus Obeng is a highly experienced Sr. Research Scientist with a diverse background in analytical chemistry and formulation development. Currently at Vizuri Health Sciences, LLC since January 2016, Marcus has focused on therapeutic solutions for radiation dermatitis and pain management, conducting in-vitro preclinical studies. Prior to this, Marcus worked at INVISTA, Inc., where investigations into volatile and non-volatile components in pharmaceutical materials were conducted, and at Tate & Lyle, where methods for analyzing natural sweeteners and contaminants were developed. Earlier roles included contributions to lipidomics at Martek Biosciences, development of analytical methods for packaging materials at Westvaco Corp., and a postdoctoral fellowship at Argonne National Laboratory. Marcus holds a PhD in Analytical Organic Chemistry from Texas Christian University and an MS in Chemistry from the University of Montana.
