Cedric Corteel

Cedric Corteel is an experienced professional in the fields of data management, innovation, and project development, currently serving as Head of Data and Internal Innovation and Program Coordinator for Development Projects at Agentschap Innoveren & Ondernemen since 2016. Prior to this role, Cedric worked as Teamlead for Innovation Projects at IWT from 2014 to 2016, and held the position of Analyst/GIS-coordinator at Vlaamse overheid from 2005 to 2014. Cedric began a teaching career as a Lecturer at Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen from 2004 to 2005, and was an Assistant at Ghent University from 1998 to 2004. Early research experience includes a position at the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage from 1996 to 1997. Cedric Corteel holds a PhD in Geology/Earth Science and two Master's degrees in Geology and Chemistry, all from Ghent University.
