Des O'Grady is a highly experienced professional in the chemical engineering field, with a strong background in particle systems characterization and pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Chief Commercial Officer at VLE Therapeutics and APC, Des focuses on science-first manufacturing and process development partnerships. With a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering, Des has held various roles such as Head of Strategic Marketing, Market Development Manager, and Global Technology and Applications Manager. Prior to joining the industry, Des also worked as a Temporary Lecturer at University College Dublin, teaching crystallization lecture series to undergraduate chemists. Des holds both a B.Eng. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin.
