Ryan Downham

Ryan Downham has worked in information technology for 20 years and joined VMS in 2018. In his role as Director of Application Development, he leads our team of IT professionals and serves as the subject matter expert for the company. In collaboration with our internal departments, Ryan designs and implements technology solutions that optimize and enhance the capabilities of all VMS employees. He takes pride in his ability to deliver high-quality and user-friendly resources for the company, and he is highly skilled in complex process management, programming software and languages, and system design and development. Ryan enjoys working for VMS because of the company’s shared vision and dedication to core values. To him, the genuine spirit of collaboration and innovation that revolves around helping patients is what sets VMS apart from other organizations.

Prior to joining VMS, Ryan spent three years as a business applications development manager with Indiana University Health. He also served as an IT director for the State of Indiana, where he managed five departments responsible for a wide variety of functions.

Ryan graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in business information systems.
