Kathleen Merrick is an accomplished artist and healthcare professional with a diverse background in both artistic and clinical settings. Currently serving as an Artist at KATH MERRICK ART, Kathleen is returning to painting, inspired by natural landscapes. Simultaneously, Kathleen works as a Hospice Community Education & Outreach Partner at The University of Vermont Health Network - Home Health & Hospice, focusing on enhancing care transitions for patients and families. Previously, Kathleen held various roles, including Surgical Coordinator and Patient Service Specialist at The University of Vermont Medical Center, and Program Manager at Friends of Lewis County Hospice, where essential programs were initiated. With over 17 years of experience as the Founder and Owner of OPEN SKY HEALING ARTS CENTER LLC, along with a rich marketing background at Verizon and Capital Communications Federal Credit Union, Kathleen combines artistic creativity with a commitment to compassionate healthcare. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Daemen University and a Professional Certificate in Healthcare Management & Leadership from the University of Vermont.
