Celia Mouyal

Celia Mouyal has extensive work experience in the medical field, primarily in hospice and palliative care. Celia currently holds the position of Medical Director of Hospice and Palliative Care at VNA Philadelphia since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Medical Director of Palliative Care at Crozer-Keystone Health System from August 2019 to June 2023. Celia Mouyal also served as a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellow at The George Washington University Hospital from July 2018 to June 2019. Before that, they were an Internal Medicine Resident Physician at The George Washington University Hospital from June 2015 to June 2018. Their experience also includes working as a Medical Student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine from August 2011 to May 2015, an AmeriCorps Member at the American Association of Caregiving Youth from August 2010 to July 2011, and an Emergency Room Scribe at Anne Arundel Medical Center from August 2009 to August 2010.

From 2005 to 2009, they attended Mount Holyoke College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their major was Biological Sciences, and they minored in French Language.

In 2008, Celia participated in a study abroad program at the University of Melbourne in Australia. Celia focused on Biology/Biological Sciences.

The following year, in 2007, they also took part in a study abroad program at the American University Center of Provence in Aix-en-Provence, France. Their field of study during this program was French Language and Literature.

Celia then attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine from 2011 to 2015. Celia obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree specializing in Medicine.

Celia has also obtained several certifications. In 2016, they earned the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Basic Certificate from IHI.

In 2017, they obtained ACLS certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.
