Huy Nguyen has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and research. Huy started their career in 2010 as a Research and Development professional at VNG and later worked at W&S Online Market Research in a similar role. In 2011, they joined Information Technology - HCMUS as a Lecturer. In 2016, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at JAIST until 2019. From 2018 to 2018, they worked as an NLP/Deep Learning Researcher at Toshiba Corporate Research & Development Center, where they published a journal on textual similarity measurement. In 2019, they joined Zalo as a Senior Data Scientist and quickly moved up the ranks to become a Lead Data Scientist and then a Senior Lead Research Scientist. In 2021, they joined Vingroup Big Data Institute as a Lead Research Scientist and is currently working there. In 2023, they will be joining VNG Corporation as a Senior Lead Data Scientist.

Huy Nguyen completed a Bachelor's honor degree in Computer Software Engineering from VNUHCM - University of Science in 2010. From 2011 to 2014, they pursued their Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university. In 2016, Huy enrolled as a research student at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, specializing in Deep learning and NLP. Huy completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in NLP and deep learning from the same institution in 2019.
