Carolina Maranon-Cobos

Carolina Maranon-Cobos is an experienced Public Events Manager at the University of Minnesota's Institute for Advanced Study since October 2022, facilitating scholarly and community engagement. As Chair of the Board of Directors at VocalEssence since July 2018, Carolina guides major policy decisions and ensures the organization’s financial stability. Carolina served as World Affairs Events Manager at Global Minnesota from January 2018 to September 2023, connecting communities with international issues. Previous roles include Cultural Affairs at the Consulate of Mexico in Saint Paul, Founder and Design Director at Ambiente, and various architectural positions including Architect at Luengas Construcciones S. A and Proyecto Zero. Carolina holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas and has advanced degrees in Interior Design from the Istituto Europeo di Design.
