Gary Furer has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Gary began their career at Aurora Public Schools as a Copier Technician, responsible for maintaining and repairing copiers, typewriters, cash registers, and calculators. From there, they joined BancTec as a Field Manager, where they managed a team of 30 employees across six states, providing technical support, training on SAP, and overseeing various responsibilities such as call and compliance tracking, quality control, and inventory management. In 2006, they transitioned to Hill-Rom, starting as an Implementation Engineer, installing network-based Nurse Call systems and working on new product development. Gary then progressed into roles such as Product Support Manager and Product Quality Lead, managing technical support staff and generating reports for executive management. In their most recent position at Vocera Communications, Gary served as a Senior Implementation Engineer.

Gary Furer started their education journey in 1983 at Aurora Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology. Gary successfully completed their studies in 1985. Later, in 1996, Gary enrolled at the University of Phoenix and pursued a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business and Information Systems, with a focus on Management Information Systems, General. Gary completed their degree program at the University of Phoenix in 1998.
