Dr. Busisiwe Mbuyisa-Vilakazi

Dr. Busisiwe Mbuyisa-Vilakazi currently holds the position of Managing Executive at Vodacom, starting in September 2023. Prior to this role, extensive experience was gained at Standard Bank South Africa from June 2011 to September 2023, where responsibilities included Head of Technology and Operations for Business and Commercial SA, Executive Head of Enterprise Solutions, Business Manager for Personal and Business Banking, Senior Manager of Process Design and Innovation, and Head of Infrastructure Portfolio Management. Additional roles include Information Technology Portfolio Manager at Absa Group from September 2009 to June 2011, Project Manager at IBM from January 2008 to September 2009, Electronic Billing Specialist at the South African Post Office from April 2004 to December 2007, and System Analyst at arivia.kom from January 2000 to September 2004. Academic qualifications comprise a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Technology, a Master of Information Technology, and a BCom Honors in Informatics, all obtained from the University of Pretoria, along with a Bachelor of Commerce in Informatics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
