Jayesh Mirchandani has a rich and diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Jayesh started their career in 2005 as a Manager in Business Intelligence at Idea Cellular Ltd. Jayesh then moved on to various roles at the same company, including Senior Manager in Marketing for both Prepaid and VAS, and Deputy General Manager in Strategy & Planning.
In 2010, Jayesh worked with McKinsey as a Senior Manager in Project IRIS at the Corporate Office. Jayesh collaborated with the consulting firm to identify customer segments based on various variables, enabling the development of targeted products and marketing strategies.
From 2012 to 2014, Jayesh served as Deputy General Manager in Strategy & Planning at Idea Cellular Ltd., where they played a key role in formulating the sales and distribution structure for the company. Jayesh also focused on expanding the retailer network to increase profitability.
In 2015, Jayesh took on the position of General Manager and National Head for Prepaid and Postpaid Acquisitions and Revenue at Idea Cellular Ltd. Jayesh was responsible for driving customer acquisitions and revenues through digital channels. Jayesh also played a part in the National Mobile Number Portability launch team.
Jayesh joined Vodafone Idea Limited in 2019 as Vice President of Marketing. Jayesh initially served as the Regional CVM Head for various regions in India and later took on the role of Cluster Marketing Head for Gujarat, the company's largest telecom circle. During their tenure, Jayesh demonstrated their ability to drive positive revenue growth, even in challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jayesh Mirchandani received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of Rajasthan from 1998 to 2002. Jayesh then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management with a focus on Operations from the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies from 2003 to 2005. Prior to these degrees, they completed their higher secondary education at St. Xavier's School in Jaipur from 1989 to 1997, where they studied English, Physics, Maths, Biology, and Chemistry.
