Javier Garcia Gomez

Javier Garcia Gomez has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Javier currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of VoerEir AB since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid starting from April 2019.

Javier has also held various senior leadership positions at Ericsson, including Acting CEO of Ericsson Spain & Portugal, KAM (Key Account Manager) Telefonica Spain & InfraCo, CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of Europe and Latin America, CTO of AT&T Customer Unit, and CTO of Telefonica Global Customer Unit. Javier was employed by Ericsson from 2011 to 2021.

Before joining Ericsson, Javier held roles at Alcatel-Lucent and Nortel, where they worked in product management, business development, and network architecture for wireless technologies. Javier was with Alcatel-Lucent from 2007 to 2011 and Nortel from 2000 to 2006.

Javier began their career at Ericsson in 1997, working as a Product Manager for various wireless technologies. Javier gained experience in GSM Core Network, Mobile Intelligent Network, GPRS, UMTS, and more during their time at Ericsson.

Javier Garcia Gomez completed their MSc. in Telecommunications Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) between 1989 and 1995. Javier also worked on their Final Project at Technische Universität Berlin in 1995-1996.
