Carissa Bhardwaj Ph.D.

Dr. Carissa Bhardwaj has a diverse work experience in various technology companies. Carissa currently serves as the Chief Product Officer at Voice Systems Engineering (VSE), a high-growth technology company that invests in startups and empowers high-performing individuals. Before joining VSE, Dr. Bhardwaj was the Head of Product at Language I/O, where they were responsible for the product vision and management of a SaaS product portfolio. Carissa developed an in-depth understanding of customer support and advancements in chatbots and conversational AI. Dr. Bhardwaj also worked at Frontier Communications as a Senior Consultant, leading strategic solution launches, and received Scrum Master certification. Prior to that, they were a Sr. Strategic Consultant at Verizon, driving enablement and strategic planning for sales success. Carissa also worked at AT&T as a Unified Communications Products Consultant, overseeing the deployment of a cloud-based unified communication and collaboration technology. Earlier in their career, Dr. Bhardwaj served as the Director of New Technologies Products at VTech, where they led the development and marketing of emerging telecommunication products. Carissa also worked as a Product Marketing Manager at APCON, conducting market research and leading product development and launch activities.

Carissa Bhardwaj Ph.D. completed their education with a Ph.D. in IT Applied Science from the University of the Cumberlands - Graduate PhD Programs in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado Boulder. Carissa also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Suffolk University.

In addition to their academic degrees, Carissa Bhardwaj has obtained several certifications. Carissa is a Certified Roadmap Professional from Aha!, obtained in November 2022. Carissa has also completed the "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" certification from LinkedIn in June 2021. Carissa Bhardwaj is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, achieved in November 2018. Carissa holds a certification in Business Strategy from Cornell University, obtained in May 2016. Carissa Bhardwaj has also completed certifications in Social and Behavioral Research, as well as the Responsible Conduct of Research, from the CITI Program, a division of BRANY.
