Ricky Downes

Ricky Downes is a versatile voice over actor and performer with extensive experience in various roles across multiple entertainment mediums. At Voices.com since July 2015, Ricky specializes in providing unique and engaging voice work for commercials, animated films, and web series, particularly in comedic roles and character impressions. In addition to voice acting, Ricky serves as a puppeteer and Wild Encounters host for the Wildlife Conservation Society, where engaging audiences through educational and entertaining performances is a key aspect of the role. With a strong background in character acting, Ricky has performed as costumed characters for private events and has acted as the emcee for children's performances with Lard Dog and the Band of Shy. Notably, Ricky has puppeteered the leading role of Paddington Bear in Off-Broadway productions, capturing the attention of young audiences. Ricky holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Writing for Film/TV from Emerson College and has taken on various roles in retail and organizational management, showcasing a comprehensive skill set in performance and team leadership.
