With experience in managing partnerships, corporate sponsorship, and donor cultivation, Melissa has excelled in roles such as Special Events Manager, Assistant Manager of Partnerships, and Senior Development Manager. Melissa's experience includes coordinating fundraising campaigns, managing event logistics, and overseeing marketing initiatives for organizations such as Voices for Children, Inc., American Cancer Society, Feeding San Diego, and more. Voices for Children transforms the lives of abused, neglected, or abandoned children in San Diego and Riverside Counties by providing them with trained, volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). We believe that every child deserves a safe and permanent home, and to that end, will review and monitor every court file in the system, provide a CASA to every child in the foster care system who needs one, and advocate to improve the lives of San Diego County’s foster children.
