Eric Soirot

Eric Soirot has a diverse work experience spanning over four decades. Eric started their career in 1982 as a System Software Lead at Electronique Serge Dassault in Paris. There, they managed projects, specified, designed, and implemented system software and drivers for Unix SV and Pick OS. Eric also implemented the Pick Operating System and Virtual Machine on high reliability computers.

In 1989, Eric joined Raining Data as a Kernel Development Manager, where they introduced the UNIX-based product line and managed a team of software engineers. Eric played a significant role in transitioning the company's proprietary OS implementations to UNIX, which eventually accounted for 60% of the database revenues.

At Raining Data, Eric continued to excel and took on the role of NT Development Manager. From 2007 to 2008, Eric worked at Base 2 Solutions as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed service-oriented architecture applications for aircraft maintenance using Tomcat Web Application Server, AXIS Web Service, and JSF.

Returning to Base 2 Solutions in 2008 as a Staff Software Engineer, Eric contributed to various projects, including designing and developing a real-time mobile data collection system for the transportation industry. Eric utilized languages such as C#, JavaScript, Sencha Ext JS, and production support for distributed asynchronous large-scale systems.

In 2021, Eric joined Base-2 Solutions as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, where they held a role until 2022, contributing their expertise to software development projects.

Currently, Eric is working as a Staff Software Engineer at Volant Partners, Inc, specializing in avionics and real-time, bare metal, embedded controls.
