Khalil Eid

Khalil Eid has extensive experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on the Middle East region. Khalil is currently serving as the Managing Director of Volante Global in the Dubai Financial Center (DIFC), specializing in reinsurance across multiple lines of business. Prior to this, Khalil worked at QBE Insurance as the General Manager and Senior Executive Officer for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey region, where they established the office and secured a license, developed a business and go-to-market strategy, and built strong relationships with regulators and clients. Khalil also held a role at DIFC, where they attracted companies to establish business in the region and drove growth in the insurance sector. Additionally, they served as the Country Manager for AXA UAE, leading the overall performance and growth strategy of the company. Khalil's experience also includes a board membership at the Emirates Insurance Association.

Khalil Eid obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Studies from the Lebanese American University, which they completed between 1989 and 1993. In 2020, they pursued a Senior Executive MBA, with a specialization in Master of Business Administration (SEMBA), at the Melbourne Business School, and they are currently enrolled in the program. Additionally, Khalil has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including a Blockchain Revolution specialization from INSEAD in June 2020, ANZIIF (Snr Assoc) CIP, Dip.GI and ANZIIF (Snr Assoc) CIP, Dip.FS from ANZIIF in April 2020 and March 2020 respectively, Excell Skills for Business specialization from Macquarie University in July 2019, a Certified Medical Underwriting Specialist (CII) certification from Gen Re in November 2007, and an AXA way certification from AXA in February 2003.
