Dilys Chan

Dilys Chan has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Most recently, they worked at Volaris Group as Editorial Director, where they played a key role in building the brand by highlighting success stories and expertise in M&A and software operations. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Content Manager, M&A at the same company.

Before joining Volaris Group, Dilys worked at BNN Bloomberg as a TV Segment Producer and Digital Content Producer. Dilys also took on various freelance projects, including writing, editing, and communication strategy.

Dilys holds a Master of Journalism degree from Ryerson University, where they gained experience in producing original reporting and news features across different media formats.

Earlier in their career, Dilys worked as a Content Developer at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and as a Communications Officer at Sunnybrook Research Institute. Dilys also served as an Assistant Language Teacher under the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET), where they developed English curriculum for public schools and engaged in grassroots international exchange efforts.

Dilys began their career as a Media and Public Relations Assistant, Web Publisher and Designer, and Career Services Reporter at Carleton University. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a passion for writing, editing, and strategic communication.

Dilys Chan holds a Master's Degree in Journalism, which they obtained from Ryerson University from 2013 to 2015. Dilys also has a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication & Sociology (with co-op) from Carleton University, which they completed from 2003 to 2008. Additionally, Dilys has obtained a certification in the Canadian Securities Course from the Canadian Securities Institute in 2022.
