Stephen Ogden

Non-Executive Director at Volga Gas

Stephen Ogden is currently a Non-Executive Director at Volga Gas. Prior to this, they served as a Councillor for Trafford MBC from June 2004 to May 2006. In this role, they were the Conservative group press officer for Trafford, a member of Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority, a cabinet member (deputy, finance), chairman of the audit committee, and chairman of the Altrincham area board. Stephen was also heavily involved with Conservative politics in the Northwest and had several encounters with David Cameron MP.

Before their Councillor role, Stephen served as a Non-Executive Board Member for Heineken Russia from February 2002 to February 2003. In this role, they were responsible for strategic decisions concerning Heineken & the Russian market, as well as reviewing M&A opportunities.

Stephen began their career as a Fixed Income Product Controller at Credit Suisse in February 1996 and left the company in August 1996.

Stephen Ogden attended the Moorside County Junior School where they passed 11+ examinations in Maths and English. Stephen then attended Lancaster Royal Grammar School where they completed their A levels in Economics, English, Geography & General Studies. Next, Stephen Ogden attended Durham University where they obtained their BA (Hons) in Economics & Politics. Lastly, they became a Chartered Accountant after completing the requirements at the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
