Neil Hewitt Ceng

Neil Hewitt CEng has over 30 years of experience in the rail industry. Neil is currently serving as the Professional Head of Engineering at VolkerRail Ltd since February 2020. Prior to this, Neil worked at Ricardo Rail as a Senior Consultant & Chartered Engineer from July 2015 to February 2020, where they specialized in PAB and assurance projects and developed services for various rail maintenance and servicing equipment. Before that, they worked at Lloyd's Register Rail Ltd as a Senior Consultant, On Track Plant Engineer, and Team Leader from January 2013 to July 2015, where they managed a team and provided expertise in depot maintenance and servicing equipment. Neil also worked as a Principal Plant Engineer at Jacobs Engineering UK Ltd from November 2007 to January 2013, where they played a leading role in a team of engineers specializing in railway plant and depot design. Neil started their career as a Project Engineer at European Passenger Services in 1991. Throughout their career, Neil has focused on depot maintenance, plant engineering, and project management within the rail industry.

Neil Hewitt CEng received their education in engineering and management from Leeds Beckett University. From 1992 to 1996, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Management. Prior to that, from 1983 to 1991, they attended Doncaster Institute of Higher Education, where they acquired ONC, HNC, and HND qualifications in Mechanical and Production Engineering.

Additionally, Neil Hewitt obtained the certification of Chartered Engineer from the Engineering Council, although specific details regarding the month and year of achievement are not provided.
