Jacob Parker

Jacob Parker is an accomplished civil engineer with extensive experience in project management and structural engineering. Currently serving as a Project Manager at Volkert, Inc. since August 2018, Jacob oversees the reconstruction of the Chalmette Slip and various wharves in St. Bernard Port Harbor and Terminal District. Previously, Jacob held positions including Senior Bridge Engineer at SDR Engineering Consultants, Inc., where contributions included the I-20 Service Road Rehabilitation, and Structural Engineer at Stantec Consulting Services Inc., focusing on bridge design, repair, and evaluation projects. Early career roles included Civil Engineer PE at IAP Worldwide Services and Bridge Engineer at Gresham, Smith and Partners, along with significant experience at the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University, completed in 1998.
