Thomas Uher

Thomas Uher is Vorstandsdirektor at VOLKSBANK WIEN. Thomas has over 30 years of experience in the banking and finance industry.

Thomas began their career in 1988 as an assistant and lecturer at the University of Vienna. In 1989, they joined Creditanstalt Bankverein as a member of the management board. From 1991 to 1993, they were creditanstalt a.s. Prague's assistant to the board. In 1994, they became a board member of Creditanstalt a.s. Bratislava with responsibility for corporate banking, finance, and IT.

In 1997, Thomas joined Österreichische Bundesforste AG as a member of the management board responsible for real estate development and management, finance, and IT. In 2007, they became Head of Corporate Banking and CFO at Erste Bank. Three years later, they were appointed CEO with responsibility for Corporate Banking, Saving Banks Cooperation, IT, HR. Thomas served as CEO until 2016 when they became a consultant to the board.

In 2017, Thomas Uher joined VOLKSBANK WIEN as Vorstandsdirektor.

Dr. Thomas Uher pursued a career in law at the University of Vienna.

They work with and Rainer Borns - Vorstandsdirektor. Their manager is Gerald Fleischmann, Generaldirektor.
